Plain-language summary: Use Nurseal to study—not to make patient-care decisions, reproduce secure exam questions, upload material you cannot legally use, or copy and resell the product. AI can be wrong, and Nurseal cannot guarantee an exam result.
1. Who may use Nurseal
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. Nurseal's AI features are not directed to anyone under 18.
2. Independent educational product
Nurseal is an independent study aid. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. (NCSBN), Pearson VUE, any nursing regulatory body, or any nursing school.
NCLEX®, NCLEX-RN®, and NCLEX-PN® are registered trademarks of NCSBN. Nurseal creates NCLEX-style practice material; it does not contain, reproduce, or provide access to actual NCLEX examination questions.
3. Educational use only
Nurseal and its AI-generated output are for studying and general education. They are not medical, nursing, clinical, legal, or other professional advice and must not be used for diagnosis, treatment, medication decisions, patient care, or emergency decisions.
Always verify clinical information against current course materials, authoritative references, institutional policy, and qualified instructors or clinicians. If information conflicts, do not rely on Nurseal.
4. AI limitations
AI-generated questions, rationales, calculations, summaries, hints, and concept maps may be incomplete, outdated, misleading, or incorrect. Nurseal does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, uninterrupted availability, educational progress, eligibility for licensure, or any examination result.
5. Your study materials
You retain your rights in material you upload. You represent that you own the material or have permission to use and process it. You give Nurseal and the service providers required to operate it only the limited permission needed to process that material for your requested features.
Do not upload patient-identifying information, confidential clinical records, secure test-bank material, unlawfully copied textbooks, or content you are not permitted to process.
6. Academic and examination integrity
You may not submit, request, reconstruct, distribute, or commercialize remembered, leaked, stolen, or otherwise secure examination questions. You may not present AI-generated work as your own where your school, instructor, employer, or licensing body prohibits that use. The separate Academic Integrity Standard is part of these Terms.
7. License and prohibited copying
Subject to these Terms and the access level you purchase, Nurseal grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the product for your own study.
You may not:
- copy, republish, sublicense, rent, sell, white-label, or redistribute Nurseal or its branded exports except through an expressly provided sharing feature;
- remove ownership, copyright, trademark, provenance, or attribution notices;
- reverse engineer or extract protected prompts, private configuration, access controls, or non-public service components except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- impersonate Nurseal or Seal Studios, register confusingly similar branding, or falsely claim endorsement;
- circumvent limits, probe security, automate abusive traffic, or interfere with another person's use.
8. Local data, third-party services, and availability
Some Nurseal information may be stored only in your browser. Clearing browser data, changing devices, or losing a device may erase it unless you export or restore a backup. AI processing and optional integrations rely on third-party services with their own terms and availability. The Privacy Notice describes the real data flow and names every outside company involved.
You do not supply, hold, or pay for an AI key. AI processing runs on a key owned and paid for by Seal Studios, and what you buy is credits (section 9). If an optional connect-your-own-provider path is ever offered, its terms will be stated before it is available.
9. Purchases, credits, and refunds
What you buy is credits. One credit is one generated practice question or one message to the study buddy. Credits are a prepaid balance on your account, not a licence period and not a subscription: there is no recurring charge, nothing renews, and there is nothing to cancel. Credits do not expire while your account is active. They are not time-limited and they are not consumed by the passage of time — but they exist on your account, so if your account is deleted they go with it. That includes the dormancy deletion described in the Privacy Notice, section 10a: an account with no sign-in for 24 months is deleted, after a warning email about 30 days beforehand, and any unspent credits are removed with it. Signing in at any point resets that clock, and it is the only step required.
Prices and currency. Prices are shown in US dollars on the credits page and are charged in US dollars. The amount shown on the button is the amount charged. We add no tax at checkout, so the amount shown is the amount charged. Your bank may apply its own currency-conversion or foreign-transaction charges, which Nurseal neither sets nor receives.
Payment processing. Payments are taken by Stripe on a page hosted by Stripe. Card details are entered into Stripe's form and are never received or stored by Nurseal. Your use of that page is additionally subject to Stripe's own terms. Your card statement should show NURSEAL — that is the descriptor we submit, though banks abbreviate and reformat descriptors differently, so yours may render it another way. See the Privacy Notice, section 7c for exactly what is sent to Stripe and what is kept here.
When credits arrive. Credits are added when Stripe confirms the payment, normally within seconds. If a payment succeeds and credits do not appear, that is our error to fix and you are owed the credits regardless of how long it takes to notice; report it through the Feedback button and it will be corrected.
Refunds. You are entitled to a full refund of your most recent purchase while both of the following are true: it is within 14 days of that purchase, and you have spent fewer than 50 credits since it. This is stated as "most recent" because that is exactly how it is calculated — buying again starts a fresh 14 days and a fresh 50-credit allowance against the new purchase, and it does not extend or revive the window on an earlier one. Your credits page and your account page both display whether this is currently true for your account. To request one, use the Feedback button on any page while signed in; it reaches the operator with your account attached, so no order number is needed. Refunds are returned to the original payment method. A refunded purchase removes the credits it granted.
Outside that window refunds are at the operator's discretion and are not promised by these Terms — but credits do not expire, and you are welcome to ask if something has gone wrong. Nothing here limits any refund or cancellation right that applicable consumer law gives you and does not allow the operator to waive.
Your purchase record. Every purchase is recorded on your account page with its date, what it was for, and the amount paid. That record is the receipt Nurseal is responsible for. Nurseal does not undertake to send an email receipt; whether one is sent is controlled by Stripe. Deleting your account deletes your credits and your purchase records along with everything else — Stripe retains its own independent record of the payment. Ask for any refund you are owed before you delete. The request route runs through your signed-in account, so deleting first removes both your unspent credits and the way to ask about them.
Free credits. Credits granted rather than bought — a free allowance, or a goodwill grant — carry no refund entitlement, for the obvious reason that no money was taken for them.
10. Intellectual property
Nurseal's original software expression, interface, branding, artwork, written material, and compilation are owned by their respective rights holders and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. NURSEAL™ and the Nurseal seal mark identify the product source. Third-party names and marks remain the property of their owners.
11. Suspension and termination
Access may be limited or terminated for unlawful use, security abuse, infringement, or material violation of these Terms. The refund rules are in section 9. If access is terminated for a reason that is not your fault, unspent credits are refunded regardless of section 9's window — that window bounds a change of mind, not our own decision to stop serving you.
Notice and a chance to fix it. Except where the conduct is unlawful, is an active security threat, or must be stopped immediately to protect someone else, the operator will email the address you sign in with, say what the problem is, and give you 14 days to correct it before terminating your access. Where immediate suspension is necessary, that email is sent as soon as practicable afterwards instead.
Getting your material out. The “Download my records” control on your account page is available for as long as your account exists, and it is the export route referred to here — it is not gated on anything the operator has to do. If your access is terminated, your records will not be deleted for at least 30 days after the date of the notice, so that you can sign in and download that file; the notice will say so. Where immediate suspension was necessary, the operator will restore enough access to run that download, or send you the file, on request within those 30 days.
12. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Nurseal is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular result.
What is excluded. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, for lost profits or lost opportunity, or for loss or corruption of data — including any examination result, course grade, licensure outcome, or clinical decision. Section 4 is the reason this is stated rather than assumed: Nurseal generates study material with AI and does not guarantee it is correct.
The cap. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator's total liability arising out of or relating to Nurseal, across all claims combined, is limited to the greater of (a) what you actually paid for Nurseal in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US$50. Where you have paid nothing, (b) still applies.
What this section does not do, and cannot. Nothing here limits or excludes liability for fraud, for intentional injury to you or your property, or for violation of law — whether wilful or negligent. California Civil Code §1668 makes any attempt to do that unenforceable, so the limits above are written with that exception rather than as a blanket waiver. Nothing here limits liability for gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that applicable law does not permit to be limited; and nothing here removes a right that consumer-protection law gives you and does not allow the operator to waive. If any part of this section is held unenforceable, the rest still applies.
13. Who you are contracting with, governing law, and contact
The operator. Nurseal is operated by Elpidio Samuel Poblano Vallejo, an individual doing business as Seal Studios, in California, United States. He is the party you are contracting with under these Terms, and “the operator,” “Nurseal,” and “Seal Studios” all refer to him throughout this document and the Privacy Notice. Nurseal is not a company, and no corporation or LLC is party to this agreement.
How to reach him.
- Legal, privacy, and formal notices: hello@seal-studios.com, or by post to Elpidio Samuel Poblano Vallejo, PO Box 1714, Indio, CA 92202-1714, United States. This mailbox is monitored.
- Anything about your account — refunds, a payment that did not deliver credits, or a problem with the product: use the Feedback button shown on every page while you are signed in. It is the faster route because it arrives with your account attached, so no order number is needed. The email address above also works.
Governing law and where disputes are heard. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts serving Riverside County, California are the agreed venue.
Two things that clause does not take away. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory laws of the country or state where you live, or of any right you have to bring a claim in your own local courts where the law gives you that right. And either of us may bring a qualifying claim in small-claims court instead. There is no arbitration clause and no class-action waiver in these Terms.
Changes. Material changes will be dated and communicated through the product or another reasonable channel.
